Photo Ideas

Week12:
UP by Mark Howells-Mead
admit it, you have always wanted to be carried away by a punch of balloons. i know i still want to. this photo makes me think of my childhood for sure

Week11:

Beach sports: Flip-flop throw (Lanzamiento de chancla)

by Sator Arepo
what i like most about this photo besides the scenery and placement is the action taking place, he is jumping high and about  to throw his flipflop but his facial expression seems so frozen, it has an expression that he has jumped but you would expect it to look weird because of how high he is, but he is looking straight forward instead.

Week10:
railroad crossing by Kelly Russo

what is so attractive about this picture is the colors of the clouds in the background. also the sign is very in your face which makes for an interesting composition.

by Brando Basham
What is most interesting about this photograph is the outline of the persons face, and how you can only see their form and a few details on the edges where the light hits, such as parts of his hair, beard and tshirt, but the face is completely black, along with the background. it is creative to know it is a man, and what kind of style he may have, but not seeing his face is the mystery.

Week 6:

it is an interesting way to use light, where the light comes from the back through the objects in the photos, making the objects a shadow and almost like the light is now the main subject.

Week 5:

What is most appealing about this photograph is the framing of the staircases, the use of color, and the line and depth how we can be drawn into the  looping of the staircase, bringing us down to the tile flooring. It is very symmetrical, and has an interesting form that we may not think of it as just a staircase, but an abstract object.

What Makes This A Good Photo Is Because Although It Is An Aerial View And You Cannot See The Emotions Or Reaction Of The Relative Who Is Mourning, You Still Can Feel The Pain.
The Separation Of The Street And Sidewalk Make For An Interesting Form. The Sides Walk As You See Is Plane And Dull Besides Colors From A Sock, On The Right We See Red, The Blood Of A Dead Man. But What Is Must Important Is On The Right Bottom Hand Where The Action Is Happening. Because The Focus Is Pushed To The Side It Makes For A More Interesting Composition. The Body Seems Like It Is Hanging Upside Down And The Rope Is Hanging Above.
The One Reason I Really Am Drawn And Love This Picture Is Its Meaning And Purpose. The Caption For The Picture Reads:
"A man mourns over the body of a relative, one of the three victims - one decapitated and partially dismembered - found on the Acapulco-Mexico road, in the neighborhood La Cima, in Acapulco, on January 9, 2011, a day after 15 other bodies were found beheaded in this Mexican beach resort."

This Holds Meaning To Me Because I Lived In Puebla, Mexico For A Year, And Have Been To Acapulco Twice. I Have Even Had Sorority Sister That Have Been In 2010 When All The Kidnappings Were Happening. This Violence Reminds Me Of How Lucky I Was To Have Lived In Such A Beautiful Yet Dangerous Area. This Could Have Easily Happened To Me, My Family Or Any Of My Friends/Sisters.
